You will be observing and visiting the ancient old monuments in Lumbini that provide the strong evidences of the birthplace of Lord Buddha. There is a big rumor in the world that Buddha was born in India but the truth is not that. In fact Buddha was born in Lumbini in Nepal. He spread the Buddhism in the world from India at Bodhgaya. The ancient places and the Ashoka Stupa built by the ancient Indian King Ashoka prove this fact.

Lumbini is situated to the south western from the Kathmandu valley and near India. The total approx. distance between Kathmandu and Lumbini is 310 km and the destination can be reached within 8 to 9 hour.

The Lumbini trip starts from Kathmandu. You will drive from Kathmandu to Naubise on the Tribhuvan Highway. From Naubise, continue drive to Narayanghat on the Prithvi Highway. From Narayanghat, continue drive on the Mahendra Highway which is also called East-West Highway to the destination at Lumbini.

You will be picked up at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu during your arrival time. We will manage your Lumbini trip package according to your time period available in Nepal. The Lumbini trip can be done from 5 days to more days according to your demand. We also transfer you to the airport for your departure day.

Recommended Itinerary for Kathmandu-Pokhara-Lumbini tour: -

Itinerary:-

Day 01:- Arrival in Kathmandu

Pick up from Kathmandu Airport as per your arrival schedule. Drop to your Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:- Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara ( 205km) 6 hours

Pick you up from your Hotel and drive to Pokhara along with Trisuli river, you may stop on the way for Lunch and good picture while driving to Pokhara O/N at Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 03: Sightseeing tour in POKHARA

Early morning drive to Sarankot for the great view of Sunrise. – back to Hotel Breakfast at the resort. Sightseeing tour of Pokhara city including Devi’s fall, Gupteshwore Mahadev cave, Seti gorge, Bindhyabasani temple and Barahi temple with one hour boating on Phewa Lake. The rest of your day is free for personal activities. In the afternoon, we go for a one hour boat ride on the serene Fewa Lake. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 04:- Pokhara to Lumbini (175km ) 5 hours

After Breakfast drive to Lumbini via beautiful Nepalese landscape O/N at your Hotel.

Day 05:- Sightseeing tour in Lumbini

Sightseeing tour in Lumbini including famous Maya Devi temple, the international monastic zone, Sacred Garden. You will have free time to do meditation at bodhi tree and sacred garden if you are interested in self meditations. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 06: Lumbini to Kathmandu (305km) 7 hours

Get ready after Breakfast. It is bit long drive from Lumbini to Kathmandu. We suggest you start in the morning for your drive to Kathmandu. Drive to Kathmandu O/N at  your Hotel  

Day 07:- Departure

Free day until your departure, you may do shopping or other activities (on your own) before airport time. Transfer to Kathmandu airport and flight back to Home.
